Green Roof Leak Detection & Prevention
Roofs with lawns or planting on top of the membrane are largely a modern and growing environmental concept. That said, the Derry and Toms building in Kensington was given a green roof over 100 years ago. When it was refurbished in the 1990’s, we at Thornton Roof Leak Detection were selected to test the new waterproofing before the finishes were applied.
The 100 year old Derry and Toms roof garden in Kensington High Street. New waterproofing system integrity tested by Thornton Consulting when replaced in the 1990’sAll new green roofs must have the waterproofing membrane tested by a compatible method, in order that major leak problems are averted in the future.
We can also provide advisory services on selection of membrane systems that are best suited to this application.
